Pardon me, May I ask you a question?
My name is _______. I'm a Christian and I'm taking a survey, can you listen for about
three minutes? I'll make it real fast.
Do you personally believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?
(if no, ask them who they believe that Jesus Christ is)
Have you ever made the discovery of meeting Jesus personally where He's come into your heart as your Saviour, you've never met Him personally have you?
(if no, continue with the survey)
Do you know who Jesus Christ claimed to be?
Answer--Jesus claimed to be the Messiah, the Savior of the world. John 4:26
Jesus claimed to be God who came to live in the flesh. John 10:30
Do you believe He is who He claimed to be?
(if yes, continue- if no, ask him why not?)
According to the Bible, how many sins does it take to keep you out of heaven and to put you into hell?
Answer--Just one(hold up one finger) James 2:10 teaches that.
Illustration--if your hanging and suspended from a 100 ft. higb ceiling by a 10 link chain, you will fall to the ground if only one of those links breaks just the same as if all ten links breaks. The Bible says "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking them all".
This means that you have a sin problem, and your sins seperate you from a Holy God. God being perfectly just must punish sin and pour out His wrath against all evil. And Bible states that the wages of sin is death. Only Jesus lived a sinless life.
Do you believe that going to church, getting baptized and being a good person will save you and get you into heaven?
Answer--NO, Ephesians 2:8 says good works do not even help.
So if you were to die tonight and face God and He were to ask you "Why should I let you
into heaven?" What would your answer be? What would qualify you?
Here's the answer!
The first thing to realize is that Christ loves you. When He hung on that cross, He died for you. He took the punishment (wrath of God) that you and I deserve so that we wouldn't have to take the punishment ourselves. He died for you so that you could spend eternity with Him in heaven and not have to go to hell.
To get to heaven you must repent of your sins and place your complete faith (trust) in Jesus Christ to save you and give you eternal life.
The Bible calls you to:
1. Admit that you are a sinner and in need of a Savior.
2. Be willing to turn from your sin's with God's help.
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and resurrected bodily from the dead.
4. Then turn to Christ and place your complete trust (faith) in Him for the gift of eternal life as you receive Him as your personal Lord and Saviour.
Are you willing to repent of your sins and open your heart to Jesus Christ to receive Him as your Lord and Savior?
If that is the desire of your heart,I would love to lead you in a prayer; and if it is accompanied by a true saving faith, Jesus Christ will come into your life and save you.
Just repeat after me.
Dear Lord Jesus,
I believe that you are the Son of God.
I believe that you are God.
I admit that I am a sinner, and I now repent of my sins
as I want you to be my Savior.
I believe that you died on the cross for me,
then you arose from the dead.
And you promised to give me eternal life,
if I would receive you into my life.
So I ask you to come into my heart right now and save me.
Congratulations! Did you place your faith in Jesus Christ? So where is Jesus living right now? Answer- In your heart.
Now that you have received Jesus into your life, you need to begin to cultivate a deep relationship with Him. An intimate love relationship. To deepen your relationship you should spend time daily with Him in:
1. Prayer--Prayer is simply talking and listening to God.
2. Read the Bible(start with the Gospel of John). The Bible is God's Holy Word and your spiritual food. Ask God daily for His power to help you obey what you read.
3. Go to a good church where they love God, teach the Bible as the authoritative Word of God and they love others.
4. Tell others the Good News of Jesus Christ (this is called witnessing). God wants to use you to reach others.
Lastly, obey the Lord's command to associate your new life in Christ through water baptism.
Try to get the person's full name and telephone # so that you or someone else can follow up with them for discipleship and to help them get into a good church.
